DVIF&G-Authored; Study Published In Leading Medical Journal
Dr. George S. Taliadouros and Dr. Chung H. Wu, doctors at the Delaware Valley Institute of Fertility & Genetics (DVIF&G;), recently had results of a study they conducted with other physicians published in Molecular and Cellular Endocrinology, a peer-reviewed medical journal.

The study, “Patterns of LHBcf among women in health and disease,” found that studying the urinary excretion pattern of LHBcf (Luteinizing hormone beta core) may help identify women with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), a leading cause of infertility, in its early stages. By identifying the possibility of the condition through these urine samples as diagnostic criteria, physicians can then assist the interpretation of subjective ultrasonographic appearance of the ovaries with more sensitive and reproducible biochemical measurements.

DVIF&G;’s PCOS Early Detection and Treatment Program has helped hundreds of women control PCOS through stress reduction, medical nutrition therapy, and insulin resistance lowering medications.
